When sellers listed inscriptions on Magic Eden, they signed a PSBT using SIGHASH_SINGLE|ANYONECANPAY. This signature is valid forever until the UTXO holding the inscription is spent. Even though Magic Eden has shut down, anyone with a cached copy of that signed PSBT can complete the purchase at the original price.
